Admin Post: Round One Claiming In Two Days - How To Make A Claim For An Art Prompt
28/3/19 09:50Oh, we are getting SO CLOSE! Two days until Art Prompt Claims (if you want an exact time for your zone, check out our nifty count down timer).
Now is a good time to talk about exactly how to make a prompt claim. It's not hard but you're better off being prepared – it's a real rush to make your claim.
The claiming post will go live no sooner than 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, March 30, 2019
Claims are made by commenting on the Claiming post on the Kingsman Reverse Bang community (here -
kingsmanreversebang). We recommend having the comm or your DW reading page on your browser tab so you can refresh as it gets close to posting time.
The claiming post will be a duplicate of the preview post, but as a reminder, each prompt is numbered and the number for the prompt is above the artwork. Each author should have a first, second and third choice for the artwork they want to write for.
To make things easy, we recommend filling out the following beforehand and having it ready to paste into a comment (keep it in a doc or an email draft):
Your mods will be on-line and will be managing the claim confirmations live. They will comment with a confirmation of which prompt is available and claimed. When the initial rush passes, we will go through the prompts and strike out the prompts that have been claimed.
A word about Round Two of prompt claims. There are twenty-five authors signed up and thirty prompts, so every author will have a prompt. It also means that if every author makes a claim in Round One, there will be five prompts remaining. We know that there are quite a few authors who are prolific and imaginative and would like to write a second story. That's what Round Two is for – the (hopefully just) five prompts that will still need authors.
If you do take a second prompt, it still must meet all the requirements – five thousand word minimum, posted within the posting window (see calendar below), artist's DNWs observed.
